This present study is on a typical manufacturing sector of India, namely, servo stabilizer manufacturing unit, one of the predominant small and medium firms. The aim of the study has been to examine the multiple measures of growth used to assess the growth of firms namely, very small, small and medium firms and to find the important growth measures well suited for the study of SMEs. The study will help researchers, managers and policy-makers on an important question, namely what appropriate measures of growth to concentrate on to achieve desired results
