Abstract: | As we are approaching towards digitization, data plays a crucial role in decision making. Analysis of huge volume of data collected from multiple sources leads to business growth as wel l. Therefore, bigdata concepts are gaining huge popularity of late. Along with other fields like social media, E-commerce and loT networks, astronomy community also has entered bigdata arena. The high end modern large aperture telescopes equipped with million pixels camera which can capture large portion of sky at a shot are generating huge volume of data which need to be processed. According to different sky surveys done so far, data collected per night by these instruments are reaching up to petabyte range. Hence, efficient algorithm and proper data analysis is very much essential to carry out intelligent decision making which can be a boon to astronomers. |
