dc.description.abstractThe Indian Rupee has been dwindling over the years and as a result uncertainties in business across the world has been persisting. The article presents recent trends of the value of the Indian rupee in relation to US dollar and other major currencies of the world from 2010-2015. The Rupee appreciation against US dollar between January and Mid-April 2015 has been highlighted recent trends in the emerging market economies have also been referred in the article. Implications of dwindling rupee on India's transactions with other countries has been brought out forcefully in terms of benefits to the economy, business and individuals. Which referring to the negative effects in relation to imports which became costlier, the view expressed is that it is a good sign to give a philip to 'make in India' campaign, thereby reducing imports.-
