Abstract: Investment is the sacrifice of certain present value for the uncertain future reward. All investment choices are made at a point of time in accordance with the personal investment ends and in contemplation of an uncertain future. The present study is undertaken to know the investment pattern and perception of investor's towards investment. Further, the motives of the investors and the factors that they consider while making the investment decision are identified. A sample of 75 investors was selected and convenience sampling was used. Information was gathered using a questionnaire. The study revealed that most of the investors are risk averse and preferred to invest in fixed deposits, PPF, mutual funds and real estate.
