dc.description.abstractTo help in absorption of medicaments subcutaneously in transdermal formulations, the chemical penetration enhancers (CPEs) are being used which reversibly reduce the skin barrier resistance but have various problems like skin irritation, swelling of stratum chromium, skin inflammation, and skin toxicity. To overcome these kinds of problems plant derived chemical enhancers (oils like Eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, turpentine oil, clove oil etc.; polymers like starch, dextran, alginates; enzyme like papain; terpenes like cineol, thymol, limonene, carvone) are used now-a-days.-
