Abstract: Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects in any process - from manufacturing to non-manufacturing and from product to service. There is a lot of interest in deploying Six Sigma to sales and marketing to reduce the uncertainty inherent in it. Organizations such as 3M, Allied Signal, Dell, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, LSI Logic, Ovvens Corning, Service Master, Standard Register (Taylor Communications) etc. have deployed Six Sigma in sales and marketing and achieved significant growth in top line and bottom line performance. This research elaborates Six Sigma DMAIC Methodology in Sales and Marketing and provides various frameworks for its successful deployment and enhancing competitive advantages.
