Abstract: | The major features of an investment are safety of principal amount, liquidity, income stability, appreciation and easy transferability.The present study is based on awareness and preference of women investors towards select investment avenues. A sample of 50 investors has been chosen using convenient sampling method and data has collected through a structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using Simple Percentage and Friedman rank test. The study discloses that among the selected investment avenues Bank Deposits is given top priority followed by Post Office Deposits, Insurance Policies, Gold & Silver, Shares, Mutual Funds, National Saving Certificate/ Public Provident Fund/ Provident Fund, Chit Funds, Real Estates, Debentures, Government Securities, Indigenous Bankers. |
