| Abstract: | Kolkata city situated beside Hugli (Ganges) river in West Bengal has perennial problem of water logging during monsoon. The city proper has a combined sewer disposal system, and some pa11s of the added areas have only recently central drainage collection system. Major works have been done by various government organizations for augmentation and management of drainage and sewerage system in the city. |
