Abstract: | Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a catalytic role in the development of any country. They have always been the engine of growt h in all countries, in developing as well as in transition economies. Occupying a vital role in the growth of the country, the sector contributes as much as 40 percent to the gross manufacture ofthe Indian economy. The sector also contributes 36 % to Indian exports. |
