dc.description.abstract | Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act which was presented in the Parliament of India and came into existence on 14th November 1985, It makes it illegal for the person to produce, make, grow, manufacture, sell, buy, move, store, or use any kind of narcotic drug or psychoactive substance. The main goal of this Act is to control how drugs are made and sold, to keep an eye on their quality, to require that the chemicals of drugs be shown, and to stop people from using drugs. Cannabis and its derivatives (marijuana, hashish/charas, and bhang) could be bought and sold openly until 1985, and people often used them for fun before the Act. If anyone breaks this law, they will be punished severely with a fine and jail time. The severity of the punishment will depend on how bad the case is. | en_US |
