dc.description.abstractIndian social fabric is undergoing a fast dwnge with the entry of women into the workforce in an unprecedented manner. This has effected changes on the traditional role of the men and women in Indian households. Not many studies are available on the amount of time spent on household activities by both men and women in the South Indian settings. This study makes an attempt to study the amount of time spent on household activities by men and women. Besides, family demands on men and women and family participation have also been studied in the present work. The study has been conducted among 230 faculty members in engineering colleges in coimbatore city.-
