The objective of the research was to explore relationship between human value and Nishkam orientation. Nishkam philosophy is one of the pillars of Indian Philosophy and a unique contribute on to the world. The prese not research attempts to examine the human value structure among Indian managers deployed in Indian service sector and explores its relationship with Nishkam Orientation. Findings suggest that some of the human values Sudi as hedonism and power shares negative relationship with Nishkam orientation . Nishkam orientation does not share any positive relationship with any other factors of Human Value construct. This raises doubt whether the value discourse in India requires to have dedicated and independent psydiological instrument, whidi suitably measures Indian value framework, almost on the line of other similar studies such as Chinese Value Orientation or to have modified version of Sdiwartz's Human Value scale, after accommodating Nishkam theme. The findings imply that value discourse in India requires serious and rigorous revisits for further application in the relevant areas of discourse.-
