Transformation of Indian Small Business Sector

Abstract

As is the case with several other countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Great Britain and the US, small business is a significant contributor to India's gross domestic product and employment. Recognizing the importance of small business, the banking industry, national, state and local governments as well as academic institutions continue to pay much attention to development and promotion of this vital sector as they have been doing for many years.
