The room temperature mechanical behavior of the fully bainitic steel grade20CrMoVTiB410 was studied in the as -qu enched and tempered conditions .The hardenability response of the steel during heat treatment was assessed. In the as-quenched condition itself, the steel exhibited a good combination ofstrength, ductility and toughness . Tempering the quenched steel till to 550 °C,showed uniform mechanical properties. Tempering at 650 °C showed sec-ondary hardening behaviour, where the highest strength and least impacttoughness was observed. Tempering at 700°C showed a sharp decrease instrength but with significant enhancement of toughness . The properties ob-tained were correlated with the microstructure and phase analysis wasestablished using optical, scanning electron microscope, transmission electronmicroscope and x-ray diffraction techniques.-
