The technique of Economic Value Added has acquired acceptance as a tool for assessing the existing financial status and predicting the future performance of a compt1ny. It has been developed and popularized by the New York (US) based advisory firm Stern Stewart & Company. It covers all aspects of a company's financial management for capital budgeting, acquisition precising to strategic planning and shareholders communication besides, identifying the value addition to shareholders by the organization during the specific period.
