| Abstract: | This study is an attempt to investigate the relationship between working capital lanagement and profitability by making an inter sector comparison of two manufacturing tdustries i.e. chemical industry and pharmaceutical industry. For this purpose we selected companies from each sector, based on market capitalization and listed on BSE-500 index era a period often years from 2002 to 2011. M ajor ten financial ratios relating to profitabilitys well as working capital management are taken for analysis. |
