It not only enables an economy to compliment an otherwise incomplete industrial or agricultural structure and ensures diversified consumption for its people, but it is also instrumental in equalizing factor prices and results in a more efficient allocation of resources It creates structural changes in a country's economic characteristics, proportions and relationships.
