dc.description.abstractThe application of search engine optimization and website optimization strategies in digital marketing is more prevalent now. For efficient search to follow there is need for optimization of website to make it visible to the targeted audience and transfer information efficiently, hence search engine optimization (SEO) is being evolved. In our research work, we have attempted to throw light on different website optimization techniques which are being followed to make the website search engine ready and improve its presence over the network. We have taken search engine listings on different search engines to measure the relevance of search engine optimization. Through search we have tried to make relation between optimization of website to the relevance of the results listed in the search engine. We have observed different search engines by taking relevant keywords as query for a class of products to find out the organic and inorganic results for different ecommerce websites which have search engine optimization techniques embedded into them. We have followed an observational design of research. Our observation showed that many ecommerce websites are using SEO techniques and are highly optimized thus are competent to each other. Among several ecommerce websites studied, Flipkart is best optimized using SEO and among the search engine Google has more relevant listings of the results followed by Bing.-
