dc.description.abstractIndia has approximately 3000/50-14001 certified companies spread over eight major industrial sectors like automobile, oil, power, textile, cement, manufacturing, consumer and service. A study carried out on few companies in each of these sectors has brought out that these companies have undergone major changes while adopting environmental management systems (150-14001) compared to non-ISO certified companies.-
