Abstract: Evaluation is a very important of school education and it is also a part and parcel of our lives. The introduction of continuous and comprehensive Evaluation is considered as one of the major steps taken in this regard to improvement and strengthens the quality of school education. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is a process of assessment, mandated by the Right to Education Act, 2009, Govt. of India. This approach to assessment has been introduced by State government as well as by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBS£) in India, for students of sixth to tenth grades and twelfth in same schools. The main aim of CC£ is to evaluate every aspect of the child during their presence at the school. This is believed to help reduce the pressure in the child during/before examinations of the student will have to sit for multiple tests throughout the year of which no test or the syllabus covered will be repeated at the end of the year, whatsoever. Now the CC£ method is claimed to bring enormous changes from the traditional chalk and talk method of teaching. This paper will focus on the following objectives such as(I) to develop cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills, (ii) to make evaluation an integral part of teaching-learning process, (iii) to make the process of teaching and learning a learner centered activity. The study will help in improving student's performance by identifying his/ her learning difficulties a regular time intervals right from the beginning of the academic session and employing suitable remedial measures for enhancing their learning performance.
