dc.description.abstractWith the advent of globalization, a change in educational system has become a necessity. The world has shrunk into a global village. Congregation of people from different cultures has become a common phenomenon. This change in the society envisages a new paradigm in education. This has led to the emergence of multicultural education. Social inclusion is a necessary condition to create a long - term sustainable peace and prevent societies from plunging into violent conflicts. Multicultural education promotes social inclusion which is an assurance or investment for the future. This paper dwells upon the concepts of multicultural education in an in-depth manner besides enumerating the aim and objectives. Further, this paper highlights how multicultural education can go a long way in creating inclusive society which is the need of the hour.-
