Abstract: | In today's dynamic and highly competitive business environment, organizations across various industries are continuously seeking effective project management methodologies to improve project outcomes. Project management plays a crucial role in the successful execution of projects across various industries. Within project management, two popular approaches have emerged: Agile and Traditional. These methodologies offer distinct frameworks and philosophies to guide project teams in achieving their goals. While traditional project management has been widely practiced for many years, Agile has gained significant popularity significant popularity in recent times, especially in the software development domain. Understanding the comparative advantages and disadvantages of Agile project management versus traditional methods, as well as exploring the diverse Agile methodologies available, is crucial for organizations seeking to enhance their software development processes and achieve better project outcomes. By highlighting the key distinctions and practical implications of these approaches, this analysis aims to support project managers teams, and organizations in making informed decisions that align with their project goals and maximize value delivery to stakeholders. This dissertation aims to dive into the comparison between agile project management and traditional methods along with comparison of Agile methodologies exploring their strengths, weaknesses, and the potential for enhancing project success. The findings of this Comparative analysis will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on project management methodologies by offering a comprehensive comparative analysis of Agile methodologies and Traditional approaches and also between different agile methodologies. The study will enable project managers, organizations, and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the pros and cons associated with each methodology. This understanding will aid decision-making processes, increase project success rates, and enhance overall project management practices across diverse industries |
