Over the course of years, from the year 2000 to the year 2010 the purchasing power of an individual has decreased by almost 10 times. However, this change is not surprising considering the pace at which the world is progressing with newer and better technologies and inventions every day. Investment money correctly has the potential to completely change our future for the better. It inculcates a habit of saving and the power of compounding makes money work for itself. To protect ourselves from financial troubles in the future, it has become essential to invest money in the right places where the returns are reasonable throughout the years. The current scenario in India is such that the number of retail investors has grown largely after the pandemic, but most still lack the knowledge of the right investing. A mutual fund is a type of investment vehicle that pools the funds of multiple investors. The manager of the fund invests the fund’s earnings in securities such as stocks and bonds. In this paper, the main aim would be to understand the mutual funds from different sectors in the Indian market and compare their risks, returns, valuations, and predictions for the future so that there is a clear picture for investors. Mutual funds are retail products aimed at small investors, salaried individuals, and others who are intimidated by the mysteries of the stock market but want to reap the benefits of stock market investing. Investors are a distinct and highly diverse group at the retail level. Proper evaluation of various fund performances and comparison with other funds assists retail investors in making investment decisions.en_US
