Abstract: Electro-mechanical actuators (EMAs) play a critical role in various industries, including aerospace, robotics, automotive, and manufacturing. These actuators are employed in numerous applications that require precise and reliable motion control. Ensuring the performance and reliability of EMAs is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and product quality. This thesis aims to explore the testing methods, challenges, and advancements in electro-mechanical actuator testing to enhance understanding and facilitate the development of more efficient and reliable testing procedures. By examining the existing testing methods, challenges, and recent advancements in electro-mechanical actuator testing, this thesis aims to provide valuable insights to researchers, engineers, and industry professionals involved in the design, development, and evaluation of electro-mechanical actuators. The findings from this study can contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, leading to improved performance, reliability, and safety of electro-mechanical actuators in various applications.
