The conventional paradigm for data sharing relies on centralized third-party platforms, leading to challenges such as sluggish transaction velocities and insufficient data security. This research article introduces a data-sharing framework founded on blockchain technology, ensuring both traceability and security aspects. Initially, we devised an innovative methodology utilizing a hybrid block cipher encryption technique. This methodology not only fortifies data protection, but also facilitates swift encryption and decryption processes, thereby mitigating transaction duration. Furthermore, we have established a log tracking mechanism utilizing smart contracts. This mechanism chronicles occurrences of medical data sharing on the blockchain and portrays them visually, adeptly addressing the identity tracking requirements of patients, medical practitioners, and researchers. Empirical investigations substantiate that our approach substantially enhances data security, provides real-time identity tracking for all relevant stakeholders, and sustains an elevated level of data throughput. © 2023 IEEE.en_US
