Abstract: | International law is defined as a set of norms and rules that States should follow when working together. The sale and procurement of commodities and services across international borders is known as international trade. International Trade Law (ITL) is a body of law that governs international trade. There are two parts to it: public and private. The public side of ITL, which is a part of Public International Law, aims to bring governments’ business policies together. The private part of ITL regulates international economic transactions between people from various countries. The basic principles of International Trade Law are: 1) Trade without discrimination 2) Free trade 3) Predictability through binding and transparency 4) Promoting fair competition 5) Encouraging development and economic reform. The key highlights of the e-book are that the book will deal with all the aspects of international trade law and policy. The e-book will focus on the various landmark case laws which will be comprehended in the form of various case comments, and will also throw light on the various grey and niche areas of Anti-Dumping, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Agreement, Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Agreement, the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), Rules of Origin, and Agreement on Safeguards, and also the reader will get an insight knowledge on how the human rights, the environment, health, development, and national security forms a relationship with economic policy and law. The readers will benefit from various aspects of International Trade Law and will also get to learn and know the practical applicability on how the cases had been decided at an international forum like the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and how trade agreements enhance exports and economic growth, and at the same time the reader will also get to know on how the international competition can damage the small and domestic industries of a member country. |
