Abstract: An innovative technology that has helped organizations lessen the challenges of establishing, expanding, and sustaining infrastructure is serverless computing. It frees developers from managing servers, enabling them to concentrate on writing code and creating functionality. It is getting harder to choose the finest solutions from the plethora of expert proposed designs due to the growing popularity of serverless computing. In order to categorize serverless patterns and highlight their benefits and drawbacks in important domains as coordination, aggregation, event management, availability, communication, and validation, this study employs a multivocal literature analysis. We look at a number of patterns, giving a thorough rundown of their use cases and performance indicators. These patterns include Function as a Service (FaaS), Backend as a Service (BaaS), and container based services. We provide a thorough case study utilizing AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Kinesis, and other technologies to analyze real time data streams for a fictitious ridesharing business in order to highlight the useful advantages. This case study demonstrates how serverless architecture may boost scalability, increase system stability, and process massive volumes of data efficiently. The analysis shows how serverless computing can successfully handle peak loads, minimize latency, and maximize resource utilization—all of which are crucial given the dynamic demands of a ridesharing business. We also talk about the serverless computing's financial and security consequences. Businesses can drastically reduce operating expenses and the hazards involved with server maintenance by outsourcing server administration to cloud providers. The article emphasizes how serverless computing has the potential to revolutionize the industry by freeing developers of serverrelated concerns so they can focus on building scalable, dependable, and effective apps. Our goal is to provide a thorough understanding of serverless computing through this research, assisting developers and organizations in making the most use of this technology.
