Abstract

The edible oil industry has a complicated supply chain network that involves several steps from production to distribution. The goal of this dissertation is to present an overview of the edible oil industry's supply chain network, with a particular emphasis on the crucial elements of quality control, optimization, and sustainability. With a market size of about 24.7 million tons in 2023 and projected to grow to 27.9 million tons by 2032, the edible oil sector plays a major role in the Indian economy. A wide variety of goods, such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and specialty oils, define this industry.
