Abstract: | These issues lead to limiting the appropriate patient care, may also cause healthcare expenditure, and diminish the trust between patients as well as stakeholders. In the Healthcare domain, one of the main challenges is the fragmented nature of healthcare data. The patient's data records are often scattered among various organizations, which include hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies. These distinct systems are not compatible with one another which makes it challenging for the authorized healthcare practitioner to get the whole medical record of a patient on time. This affects delivering the integrated care/treatment by the physician Since he struggles to get integrated information about the patient's medical history. This delay in accessing the crucial medical records of the patient may lead to inaccurate diagnosis, unnecessary tests, and prescription errors, putting at risk patients' health and well-being. |
