Abstract: | This work discusses the critical aspects of data collection, addressing the importance of data collection and methodologies and emphasizing the importance of ethical consideration in the data collection process. The potential consequence of inadequately regulated data collection, citing real world examples like Twitter verses threads, the Cambridge Analytica scandal and Google Street view Wi-Fi collection incident. The survey analysis presented in this research work, it an increasing public awareness of the importance of understanding and protecting personal data. During the survey carried out for research, the participants emphasized the necessity of stricter laws and better data security protocols. The escalating frequency of cybercrimes and the critical significance of protecting data make it prominent that government and private organizations must collaborate to build comprehensive data security system. © 2024 IEEE. |
