Abstract: In any industry whether it is a small-scale industry like a small bakery or any large production firm, supply chain always plays a pivotal role for effective distribution of a final product to a customer. Supply chain management is management of how you get your raw materials, in what quantity, quality of raw material, how you transform those raw materials to finished products (through various processes, different manufacturing techniques), and then finally distributing the finished product to a customer (through Logistics) in a proper time limit at a proper place. Supply chain management includes 5 main characters, i.e., supplier (of a raw material), producer (one who converts raw material to a finished product), distributor, retailer, and customer. Effectiveness and efficiency of any supply chain can be measured by various key performance indicators (KPI) like overall cost, cycle time, lead time, takt time, quality of a product, and many other variables. At the end main aim of any supply chain management is to provide the right product for the right customer at the right time and at a lower cost. Organization aims at improving the overall cost involved in the supply chain and reducing the middleman costs at each level. © 2023 IEEE.
