Thimmaiah has obtained his Masters Degree from the University of Mysore and a Doctoral degree from Bombay University. He has more than 3 decades of teaching and research experience. Dr. Thimmaiah had the honour being a post doctoral scholar, in the University of Queensland, Australia. He has been the honorary visiting professor of Institute for socio-economic change (ISEC), Bangalore and has also been its Director.en_US
