dc.description.abstractThis review paper presents the state of art for sustainable machining of nickel based super alloys using coated and uncoated tools. The paper focusses on the aspect such as tool wear and cutting forces specifically. Apart from this, the paper includes state of art for the modern techniques to overcome the problems related to the machinability of such high strength alloys i.e., through use of surface modified tools. Future research to make these alloy more accessible without any problems related to their machining can be focussed on developing tools which can withstand elevated temperature without the use of cooling or lubrication methods.en_US
