Abstract: | Mobile Ad-Hoc network (MANET) is a kind of wireless network in which the mobile nodes are connected together without any centralized co-ordinator nodes. It is also an infrastructure less network where the nodes are connected by using Wi-Fi connectivity. It consist lot of real-time applications; Specific applications such as military or public emergency require a secure communication through the network. In MANETs, the data packet may fail to be delivered for various reasons including nodes movement, packet collision and bad channel condition. Because re-route recovery of traditional on-demand routing protocols has high latency, several ideas have been proposed to solve this problems. In this survey we have studied about various routing maintenance techniques and its working principles, metrics considered, advantages and drawback available in the existing schemes. |
