Abstract: | The emphasis on agricultural credit continued to be on progressive in stitutionalization for providing timely and adequate credit to farmers for increasing agricultural output and productivity. It also aims at better access to institutional credit for small and marginal farmers and other weaken sections to enable them to adopt modern technology and improved agricultural practices. Agricultural credit has been distributed through a multi -staged network consisting of Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks and Credit Co -operatives. |
