Abstract: Fashion and textile industry is estimated at around US$ 100 billion and is expected to reach US$ 190 billion by FY 2026. By providing an employment to around 45 million people directly and a round 100 million people in associated sectors, this becomes the second largest employer in India, after agriculture. It is the second-largest exporter of textiles and apparel in the world, with US$44.4 billion in exports during the fiscal year 2022.
