Title: An Analytic Study of Performance of IPOs Listed in NSE (2005-06)

Abstract: 711e forms of this research article is to find out the pe1forma11ce of the I POs which are listed in the NSE, India during the year 2005-2006. The sample considered for tire study is the IPOs issued during tire year 2005 and 2006 and listed in the National stock Exchange. The pe1for111a11ce is studied for a period of 2-1 months since the date of issue. Both the long run and short run pe1forma11ce are analysed. The short run pe1forma11ce is measured by means of initial abnormal rectums while the long run pe1forma11ce is measured by means of enrage abnormal rectums. Further analysis is carried out by forming portfolio of the issues based 011 a 11w11ber of factors like the issue price, size and type of i11dust1}' sector of the companies. The impact of these factors 011 the performance of the share is analyzed using regression. Based 011 the analv::.e\'. finding and recommendations are framed.
