Abstract: Banking sec tor plays a prominent role in the development of Indian economy. Banks were taken initiatives for expansion of branches in rural areas over a period of time. Especially, commercial banks played a vital role to enhance earnings of poorer sect; J I ,~ u, ,;,e society. "Financial inclusion is the process of ensuring access with qual/ty of financial services provided to vulnerable groups such as weaker and low income groups (Rajan & l ingo/es, 2003)." According to K. C. Chakrabarty (2012), in general, "financial inclusion is the process of ensuring access to appropriate financial products and services needed by all sections of the society. Particularly, weaker sections and low income groups get these services in a fair and transparent manner at an affordable cost." This study mainly concentrates on the need of banking services and product innovation for inclusive growth in rural economy.
