Abstract: This paper seeks to understand the employment picture of male and female employee in the scheduled commercial banks of India. 11 is tried lo see lo what extent banks in India are maintaining the ratio of male and female employees in the banking business. In the study years from period 2000 lo 2012 it is found that participation of women as an employee in the banking business in India is very low as compared to the male counterpart.
