In the present review paper, various research results developed so Jar are discussed. Emphasis will be given to the prediction of the crack growth stages, stress intensity factor, J-integral, number of cycles for crack having a key role in the overall fatigue life prediction. All considered approaches (Leak before break, linear elastic fracture mechanics, elastic plastic fracture mechanics etc.) are applicable to life prediction of nuclear power plant (NPP) piping components, to enable us for enhancing the NPP piping component life for safe operation.-
