It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra.Modi on 25 September 2014. The success of this project depends upon the skilled human resources. Skill education is key.for human capita/formation. It is the primaiy responsibility of educational institutions to provide skill education. The massage "Sikholnmerbanohonhar " given by Honourable prime minister indicates the importance of:vki/l education for y outh. The primaty objective of this paper is to f<Jcus on the employability of education. This study is a,1 attempt to analyze the role of skill education in human capital formation and the role ofhigher educational institutes in providing it. This paper reviews the current state of education, skills development and considers the challenges facing India's skills development system. This article concludes with the note that the skill education a11d training is neededjorjormation of human capital as well asfor the success of make in India movement. The majority of young people have limited access to education and training, and most find work in the informal sector. In recent years India has rapidly expanded the capacity of educational institutions and enrolments, but dropout rates remain high, and educational attainment remains low. Tltereforelndia can't take advantage of its demographic dividend.-
