Abstract: IT industry has created career opportunity for youth and is a front runner in employment diversity by employing a large force of women and men. These IT and /TES employees who are getting many benefits should love their job but in reality they leave for many reasons. The rate of attrition in IT sector is around Twenty percent. It could prove fatal to the growth of Indian IT sector. It is essential for an IT company to know why employees leave. The attrition behaviour among the employees are influenced by attractive compensation, work life imbalance, career advancement, or even an appraisal system and the list goes on. The managers of the organisation should understand the importance of retaining existing experienced employees at their organisation.
