Abstract: Corporate financial reporting has undergone tremendous change, both in the national and the international spheres over the last two decades. Nowadays, investors expect corporate boards to exhibit integrity and complete transparency. Users of financial reports in general and particularly investors require useful information for their decision making. The Companies Act 1956 requires all companies to make a number of financial disclosures. Many companies voluntarily provide disclosures over and above the level specified by law. The present paper employs case study method to present the corporate financial reporting practices of Technology major, Infosys. The paper aims at providing a conceptual understanding of the recent trends in corporate reporting practices and relates the same as to how Infosys Technologies Limited is practicing. The scope of the paper is restricted to select aspects of financial reporting practices of Infosys Technologies Limited such as corporate governance compliances, segment reporting, brand valuation, Economic Value Added Statements, human resource accounting and value added statements.
