Also, the impact of locus of control (internal and external locus of control) and organizational commitment (affective, continuance and normative) on work motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic motivation) is investigated. The sample size comprises of 460 University teachers of Punjab. Weighted average scores are calculated to check out levels and structural equation modeling is applied for testing the hypotheses. Overall a good level of work motivation was found amongst the teachers. Comparatively, higher intrinsic motivation (aspects related to enjoyment and challenging factors) than extrinsic motivation (aspects related to recognition and monetary factors) is found amongst them.
