Abstract: Training enables the employees to develop the required competencies to achieve the desirab/e's outcomes. Training ensures learning in a structure manner and reduces randomness. With a fast changing environment, skills and qualifications acquired could fast become obsolete if there is no continuous learning. While it needs no emphasis that the initiative should also come from employees themselves to keep abreast of the developments in their areas, it is the responsibility of the organizations to equip their employees by providing minimum training support at regular intervals. There is a big change in training methodologies; the adult learning is more effective through sharing of experiences and storytelling, situation based, simulation methods, case methods, gamification etc. The classroom learning is to be based on the above methods, merely delivery of lecture is not much effective and power point presentation is the method of beginner and the expert used power point as to connect the audience. Classroom learning is effective for the fresher's to the domain /new entrants, for experienced person experiential learning is the apt method.
