Global temperatures have been rising almost every year since the 1980s, with 2020 being the hottest on record. While some still deny climate change or dispute the link between climate and human actions, the overwhelming scientific consensus is that global warming is happening and is being made worse by our actions. Rising sea levels, the collapse of ecosystems, extreme weather, droughts, and wildfires are just some of the potentially devastating repercussions of failing to act on climate change now. In this work, the main focus is on dwelling carbon awareness as a key in the fight against climate change and what mankind can do, to reduce its impact on the environment, and protect the planet for current and future generations. This work involves data collected through a survey conducted on 230 people through personal interviews who are vigilant about decreasing the carbon footprint in environmental protection. This works covers broader aspects of “mitigating carbon footprint thus preserving the environment. The data collected has been well organized and may serve as a benchmark for future studies.en_US
