Health, sanitation and hygiene are interlinked subjects and contribute to the quality oflife. Provision of safe drinking water and improved sanitation, health and hygiene education plays a major role in improving the health and overall well-being of people. Delhi, the National Capital Territory, is the largest metropolis by area and the second largest metropolis by population in India. Population of Delhi is rapidly expanding because of large-scale migration or emigration to Delhi for a possible better life. Delhi is expanding, but the sheer volume of people compromises the ability of the city to meet their basic needs. The process of migration or emigration from different places to Delhi accompanied by uncontrolled urbanization has caused environmental degradation; it has manifested in worsening of the hygiene and sanitation condition of Delhi.-
