Abstract: The current study considers the interaction between organizational culture and organizational structure and its influence on a firm's human resource practices. It focuses upon future research issues in organizational culture as a predictor of a firm's human resource (HR) practices. The paper refers to relevant literature which suggests that such an interaction effect between the culture and the structure of a firm does have a noted impact upon the HR practices followed therein. For the purpose of the current study, 180 managerial level executives from several manufacturing organizations in India were asked to respond to relevant questionnaires. The data was then subjected to goodness-of-fit tests using AMOS 4.0. It has been concluded that the interaction between organizational culture and structure had a significant influence on a firm's HR practices. Furthermore, the implications of the study with respect to organizational design and change have also been discussed.
