Abstract: | Drought stress is one of the most important abiotic stress factors which are generally accompanied by heat stress in dry season. Super absorbent polymers by increasing the capacity of water storage in soil, reduction of wasting water and nutrition materials of soil and reduction of water evaporation from the surface of soil causes better growth and enlargement of plants. In other to study the effects of super absorbent polymer on yield and yield component of grape varieties a field experimental was conducted in Badranlo region of Bojnourd at 2011 season crop. The experimental design in this research was factorial using randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications. Factor A was comprised of two genotype of grape Al- Vitis vinifera Kolahdary and A2- Vitis vinifera Shastaros and factor B was super absorbent polymer treatment Bl- poly acrylat potassium and B2- Control. Quality characters were TSS, pH, acidity and carbohyate concentration. Obtained results show that there was no significant different between grape varieties in quality characters. Using super absorbent polymer cause increasing TSS, acidity and carbohyate concentration in comparison to control but it had no effect on grape pH. |
