Abstract: A good health sector is one’s real wealth. When all the people living in a nation are healthy, they are always cheerful, active, willing workers and energetic. So, primary healthcare becomes an important tool and element for socio-economic development and needs proper coordinated efforts from other sectors like agriculture, education, housing, industry, etc. Corruption in the health sector is a concern in all the developing or developed countries. However, it is more of a critical problem in developing and transitional economie where public resources are already scarce. Corruption reduces the resources available for health, lowers the quality, equ ity and effectiveness of healthcare services, decreases the volume and increases the cost of provided services. This paper intends to study the effect and the level of corruption in healthcare services in Panchkula District of Haryana
